If you're new to sewing, choosing a sewing machine can be a daunting task. Sewing machines are of different types, mechanical sewing machines, electronic sewing machines, home sewing machines, computerized sewing machines, and industrial or commercial sewing machines.
You can make your own clothes, or clothes for your family. Brother and Singer are two brands most people are familiar with. Where did our mothers and grandmothers learn to sew?
Singer, Euro-Pro, Janome, and Brother are some of the leading manufacturers of heavy duty sewing machines. As your children learn about fabrics they will learn how different fabrics are laundered. Learning to repair your own machine is important because it saves you a lot of money in the long run that you would have normally spent on replacement machines or repairs.
There are also many sewing classes available. Something inside of me always yearned to sew, and you can learn too.
